Immediate Serving Needs

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good

works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.  Ephesians 2:9

Jesus was the ultimate servant, and with Him as our example, we have also been commissioned to serve. So the question is, what have you been “prepared in advance” to do here at Parkview?

With four services at the Orland Campus, (Saturdays at 4:00 and 5:45 PM and Sundays at 9:00 and 11:00 AM), there are many opportunities to serve on the weekends, and we would love to have you join us!!  Whether Saturday or Sunday, it’s now so easy to...

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Coffee Preparers

If you have the gift of hospitality and are able to make coffee before and during services on either Saturday or Sunday, once a month, this opportunity is for you!  You would also be responsible for keeping the coffee service area clean and stocked.

Communion Preparers

Communion Preparers fill the communion trays with bread and grape juice and distribute the trays to communion stations in the Worship Center.  Team members are asked to arrive a minimum of 30 minutes prior to the start of service and serve before and/or after one service every 6 weeks.

Communion Servers

The Communion Server is an integral part of worship at Parkview.  Members distribute communion to attendees during service in the Worship Center.  They are asked to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the service, and to serve an entire month, once every 2-3 months.  Minimal training is required and will be provided.

Greeters

Greeters have a very important role here at Parkview.  They are among the first people seen by everyone who walk through our doors.  We want to welcome guests and long time attendees with warmth, graciousness, and a great big smile!  We have 8 teams that serve either on Saturday (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th weekend) or on Sunday (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th weekend).  Team members should try to arrive 30-45 minutes before service begins for a short time of devotions, prayer, and encouragement.

Parking Attendants

The Parking Ministry is looking for people to direct traffic in and around the parking lot, to ensure the safety of pedestrians, to be available to answer guest questions, and to look for opportunities to assist the physically challenged.  Must be able to understand and follow basic instructions and give clear hand signals.  Attendants are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the service, and to serve before and after each service one weekend per month.   However, accommodation can be made for those who are able to serve less frequently.

Sermon Resources - Sales

Resource volunteers work the sermon resources ministry booth before and after the weekend services selling CD’s of current sermons and taking orders for past sermons.

Sermon Resources - Tech

We are in need of servants to record sermons and make duplicate copies in the upstairs tech booth.

Shuttle Drivers

We are looking for safety-minded, courteous people to drive the shuttle bus along a designated route in the parking lot, providing transportation to those guests who desire a less strenuous way of getting to the campus.  Drivers typically serve 1-2 hours one Sunday a month before, during or after services. A valid driver’s license and a current background check are required.

Ushers

Ushers are friendly and organized people with hearts of service and love of people. The goal of ushering is to help each guest find a seat in the Worship Center smoothly and efficiently with minimal disruption to others. They must always be aware of their surroundings, and be ready to assist guests as needed. Ushers are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the service, and serve for one service per month.
